Description
We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Monday, November 27, 2023.
In this class students will use hand-building skills - like pinch, slab and coil - to create their own imaginative projects out of clay. Students are also encouraged to try out a variety of surface treatments on their one-of-a-kind vessels and sculptures. This course is great for both beginners and more seasoned ceramicists. Experienced wheel throwers are welcome to use the electric wheels. Dream something up and try it out in the studio! There is a $35 materials fee for the instructor due on the first day of class.Potentially Hazardous Equipment: Hands and clothes should be washed after using clay and glazes. All glazes are non-toxic and food safe. Fettling knives and other tools with sharp edges or points such as skewers and cookie cutters are used in the class.
