En plein air, a French expression which means "in the open air", is the act of painting outdoors. Practiced by the French Impressionists plein air painting provides a quiet, meditative time spent in nature, observing the colors and details of the natural world and how the light changes your impressions of each as it moves across the landscape. We'll use watercolors to gently capture our impressions of the Spring Valley landscape. No previous skill needed, all materials will be provided. Participants should dress for outdoor activity. Participants meet and may park at Merkle Cabin. Ages: 18+
