Are you an experienced kayak or SUP enthusiast ready to explore the waterways around Bair Island and the Port of Redwood City, either solo or with friends? Take advantage of our drop-in kayaking or SUP paddling time slots! We provide kayaks, SUPs, paddles, and PFDs, and a simple navigation map. Before launching, you'll complete a quick boating and navigation safety quiz. Paddle along forgotten Redwood Creek into downtown Redwood City or head further out to witness the restoration of Bair Island and its thriving marine eco system. All participants must be able to swim and tread water. Kayaking and SUP requires a moderate degree of fitness and balance.

Participants 13-17 years old are welcome must be accompanied by a paid adult.

Participants need to bring a towel and water bottle; and sign the BIAC waiver.

Participants must bring their own personal floatation device (PFD) if they have one. We have some available, if needed. All participants must be able to swim and tread water.
