Description
This course will review problems with a truck's electrical system since they are often misdiagnosed when it comes to starters and alternators. This course will teach students the basic theory, operation, construction, and repair of heavy-duty starting and charging system components. The student will gain an understanding of starting and charging systems along with the associated testing and servicing of heavy truck starting, and charging systems. Course content includes discussion on voltage and amperage testing of starters and alternators including starter and alternator overhaul procedures.
