Are you the future president of the United States? If so, you’ll need some training! In Mrs. Bernard’s Kid Presidents – Build a Nation camp, the Citizens of our country will vote on a name and flag for our special country, and we will elect officers to run our nation, including a president! THEN the fun begins: We will build our new land out of cardboard, plenty of paint, props, and some good old-fashioned hard work! Once our land is built, our nation will be open for business! Parents, friends and family will be welcomed as a grand finale to tour our very own special place. In the last four years of this exciting camp, the REAL Yorba Linda mayor has come to Heritage Oak to help us cut the ribbon for the Grand Opening of our town! Don’t miss this chance to be a part of the fun. Campers will learn all about cities, important jobs, counting money, working toward a common goal and being a part of the community. This is a chance for your child to dive into his or her own imagination, develop critical thinking skills, and learn what it takes to make a city run. It’s the perfect combination of learning and fun! There is no on-campus option for Friday. To participate in camp on Friday, you must select the field trip option for this week.
