The Swim for Life Instructor program is a 24-hour course that trains participants to teach the Swim for Life and Swim Patrol Programs.
This program includes classroom and water activities- 100% attendance and participation are required.
Completion Criteria:
- Attend and participate in 100% of the course.
- Successfully demonstrate competency in required skills, activities and final evaluation.
- 15 years of age first day of course
- Bronze Cross by the first day of the course
- Swim for Life Instructor Kit
- Canadian Lifesaving Manual
- 1 Whistle (recommended Fox 40)
Participants must give prerequisites to the instructor on the first day of the class. -Bronze Cross certification.

Required Materials (available for sale at activity location): •Swim for Life Instructor Kit •Canadian Lifesaving Manual •1 Whistle (recommended Fox 40)
Awards are mailed to successful candidates by the Lifesaving Society.
