This course will develop students’ understanding of geometric relationships and logic that can be used to solve a variety of real-world and mathematical problems. Honors Geometry covers topics including but not limited to geometric structure, congruence, similarity, and measurement. Students will complete proofs to improve their deductive reasoning skills. This course will build upon the Algebra 1 curriculum and is essential to further instruction in Algebra 2, Precalculus, and beyond. Prerequisite: Algebra I Requirement: Scientific Calculator **Oxbridge Academy students who complete a for-credit summer course will receive a letter grade and course credit on their Oxbridge transcript.** Instructor: Rochain Burrell Math Teacher Education: B.S., Mathematics Florida Atlantic University Before joining Oxbridge Academy in 2016, Mr. Burrell spent eight years teaching mathematics and AICE (Advanced International Certificate of Education) Thinking Skills in the Palm Beach County School District.
