The goal of this course is to help students brush up on their math skills and prepare for their upcoming 6th-grade math classes. We will focus on mastering fundamental skills, starting with integer operations, and building to operations with fractions and negative numbers. We will improve our number sense by doing activities and playing games that allow us to think about rounding, estimation, divisibility, equivalence, and other important ideas. Students can expect to get a lot of practice with key math concepts and have some fun along the way! (Students who wish to combine this course with the afternoon session of Intro to 6th English will have a lunch period in between classes)
