LIFE CYCLES We all start somewhere and grow into the big kids, big animals, and the insects and plants we all recognize. Where do animals and insects come from? How do they grow to be the things we know like ants, spiders, chickens, and frogs? Where does a baby ant come from? What is a chrysalis? What is a pupa? What is a polywog (besides a really fun word to say over and over)? What about the weird ones like platypuses? What comes first: the chicken or the egg? Well....that one might take a little longer, but we'll try. Come along budding biologists, and we'll explore life cycles through hands-on activities including lots of creating and building and fun. ====== STEAM TRAIN Get on board the Zen STEAM train for the full tour of everything Science, Tech, Engineering, Art, and Math. We'll take you to all the must-sees, but also check in on a few secret spots that are off the beaten track. Sharpen those detective and geography skills for "Where in Canada is Gary the Octopus?", program yourself to safety using computer code, join a pit crew and find the fastest route for your race car. What else? How about creative creature ink blots, super-format colour by math, and using engineering to save the world...well, we'll do our best. It's the Zen STEAM train, so you can be guaranteed a fast and fun voyage featuring loads of creating and engineering.
