Description

Becoming a lifeguard is a rewarding job, but requires hard work and the desire to help save lives. This course includes e-learning, classroom learning and pool time. Upon successful completion of all written exams and water skills, this course certifies participants in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding (valid for two years), First Aid, and CPR/AED. Come prepared to swim each class session. Please note full and complete attendance at all sessions is required to receive your certification. Candidates are welcome to apply for lifeguard positions with the City of Tracy after completion of the course.

Note: Attendance at all class days and times is required, along with passing scores on the tests, in order to be certified as a Lifeguard.
*Participant must pass a physical competency test on the first day to proceed with the certification class.
