Arizona Trauma Association‘s Tackle Trauma (TM) is the premier race and fundraiser experience for individuals looking to support trauma care. Trauma can lead to lifelong physical suffering and places a substantial economic burden on our health system. Traumatic injuries are the leading cause of death for all children and adults up to age 46. This is a serious public health issue as the prevalence of trauma in our state did not decrease during the Pandemic, remaining at 6.27 per 1000 Arizonans. No healthcare, public health, or public safety sector has gone without significant impact from the COVID-19 pandemic, including Arizona’s Trauma System. Trauma systems provide an inclusive and integrated structure that is designed to provide optimal care to injured patients. By participating in this annual fundraiser, you’re helping to provide valuable injury prevention, education, and research to reduce fatalities in our great state.
