About this event
In this two-day painting workshop, students will learn to utilize observational plein-air painting and personal landscape images to create abstract interpretations of the natural world. Through a combination of acrylics and oils, students will explore various techniques for creating expressive landscapes that go beyond traditional representational painting. Students will be able to paint both outside and inside, allowing for a diverse range of subject matter and creative inspiration. Whether you're looking to refine your skills or push the boundaries of your artistic practice, this class will teach you new ways to approach landscape painting and create beautiful, expressive works of art. Class designed for beginners and experienced artists alike. All materials are provided. It is recommended that students bring to class a journal or sketchbook, as well as any source materials they wish to work with Please be prepared to walk to some painting locations. Comfortable walking shoes and appropriate clothing for weather conditions are recommended. Please note that the class will take place outdoors, weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the class will be held indoors. Course instruction is from 10 am to 2 pm Each Day; followed by open studio time from 2pm to 4pm.
