About this event
Expressive Painting is an engaging painting class for both beginner and experienced students that focuses on the intersection of self-exploration and artistic expression. Through guided exercises and prompts, students will develop a personal language of mark-making, color, and texture that reflects their unique creative voice while learning techniques for working with acrylic paints, all-season glaze and charcoal. The class is a transformative and rewarding experience that will give students a deeper understanding of their creative selves and beautiful artwork reflecting their unique journey. Class designed for beginners and experienced artists alike. All materials are provided. It is recommended that students bring to class a journal or sketchbook, as well as any source materials they wish to work with This class meets on three Tuesdays 9/12, 9/19 & 9/26. Instruction is from 10 am to 2 pm; followed by open studio time from 2 pm to 4 pm.
