About this event
This is the Ceramics Portion of a Two Class Series Spend the afternoon creating your own ceramic ramen bowl for your favorite recipes. Jacey DePreist will take students step by step through the process for creating a handbuilt bowl from slabs of class. This class is great for beginners and those with experience working with clay. After a short break, students are invited back to learn how to create delicious ramen from instructor, Trang Pham. In this class, you'll learn how to make the pork broth and the chashu using traditional Japanese methods as well as the Instant Pot to reduce cooking time for those busy schedules. Then we'll enjoy a delicious bowl of ramen together at the end of class! Please note: students may take either the ceramics or culinary class and are encouraged to join us for both! You must register for both classes if you’d like to attend the ceramics and culinary portions. All ceramics projects need to be fired in a pottery kiln and take approximately 1-2 weeks before they are ready to be taken home. You will receive an email once pieces are ready for pickup. If you will no longer be in Telluride, domestic shipping options are available via a third party, Ship It, Copy It. If you have not made arrangements with our Ceramics Director, Ah Haa will discard ceramics projects 30 days after the end of a class. For those who need to have their pieces shipped domestically, please be sure to select this option during the registration process. The total cost for safely packaging and shipping your ceramics projects will be listed on the online registration page for each class. Take note that Ah Haa does not offer international shipping as a standard option.
