Western Frontier Camp Come spend the week as if you were transported to a western frontier town. Your group will become immersed in the culture of the old west as you pan for gold, make candles, and have a special lunch cookout. We will embark on a field trip to the Roaring Camp Railroad where we will take a ride thru the Redwood Forest on a narrow-gauge steam train. This Field Trip is included: Redwood Forest Steam Train Sign up for Western Frontier Camp and take a ride at Roaring Camp Railroad. Travel over trestles, through towering redwood groves and up a winding narrow-gauge grade to the summit of Bear Mountain as conductors narrate the history of Roaring Camp, the railroad and the forest.
