About this event
Coach Wootten’s Basketball Camp is looking for young professionals who are enthusiastic about sports medicine and looking to expand their clinical knowledge. Being a member of the medical staff at Coach Wootten’s Basketball Camp will allow Certified/First Responders to gain valuable clinical experience in a younger population. During the internship, you will work with campers ages 8-16 and be exposed to general medication conditions as well as athletic injuries. Listed below are the necessary requirements in becoming eligible as an intern on our medical staff. Requirements: - CPR/AED Certified - Personal Liability Insurance - Certified o Obtained a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from an accredited education program o BOC certified - First Responder o Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from an accredited education program Responsibilities: - Documentation of camper medical records, daily medications, and treatments. - Provide basic First Aid for wounds and injuries. - Communicate camper injuries with parents, couches, and counselors. - Perform daily tasks associated with facility upkeep.
