About this event
Explore the great outdoors while learning valuable survival and craftsmanship skills! This hands-on class will teach you the fundamentals of carving soap with a pocket knife, building a fire safely, birdwatching and identification, and fishing. Students will also get up close and personal with skulls, skins, tracks and scat of native Nebraska animals. Whether you're a beginner or looking to enhance your outdoor expertise, this class offers the perfect blend of practical skills and nature appreciation. Students will be transported to an area fishing pond as well as a local nature area for bird identification. *Off Campus Travel Permission Required* Teachers: Matt Beisel and Trevor Schmidt
