Parent & Tot Program Overview

Recommended age: 4 months to 3 years old.
The Lifesaving Society Parent & Tot lessons structure in-water interaction between parent and child to stress the importance of play in developing water-positive attitudes and skills. Activities and progressions are based on child development allowing parents to register in the level appropriate for their child’s age: 4-12 months, 12-24 months, or 2-3 years.

Swim Lesson Registration GuidelinesTo help provide fair access to swim lessons, participants may enroll for only ONE swim lesson set per aquatic facility.Participants must meet the required prerequisites for their selected swim level. If you are unsure about your swim level, contact us to arrange a swim assessment to ensure you are enrolling in the correct level. The SCRD reserves the right to withdraw participants who register for swim lessons without meeting the guidelines. Once a customer is withdrawn, it is final.
