About this event
Step into a leadership role by mentoring 5th-8th grade jazz students with 1-3 years of experience during the second week of our Jazz Ambassadors camp. Guide younger musicians in jazz combos, help them build confidence, and foster their growth as performers. Earn service hours for your mentorship and develop valuable band-leading skills! ELIGIBILITY Grades 9-12 (as of 2025-2026 school year) Students must have technical command of their instrument, as well as elementary improvisation experience or a basic knowledge of music theory (i.e. familiarity with major scales and 12-bar blues form). LOCATION Seattle JazzED South Lake Union Office 380 Boren Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109 PERFORMANCE DETAILS Final performances are a meaningful part of the camp experience, offering a chance to celebrate your student's hard work. We'll share more details about the time and venue as soon as they are confirmed. Stay tuned! SLIDING SCALE TUITION We are committed to this program being financially accessible for ALL families. You select the tuition amount that works for you. Your tuition payment helps cover the cost of renting class space and paying our educators a fair wage, as well as classroom supplies, sheet music, etc. -$800 (Full Price) -$600 (25% off) -$400 (50% off) -$200 (75% off) -FREE (Full Tuition Waiver) Be sure to select the payment plan option if you want to break your payments up. Please note you will also have the option of paying your chosen amount in full if you prefer. If you'd like to pay a DIFFERENT sliding scale amount than the options listed here, please email programs@seattlejazzed.org, and we'll send you a custom tuition code.
