“Fish On Femmes” Rockfish and Crab Charter Day Adventure out of Garibaldi Harbor with woman Boat Captain Tamara Mautner, and women deckhands from Garibaldi Charters, will treat you to a rare opportunity to fish off the North Oregon Coast with talented fisherwomen teaching the art of catching a variety of bottom fish and setting pots for Dungeness Crab. Women's Circle and Workshop facilitated by NW Women's Surf Camps Director Lexie Hallahan and her assistant to follow delicious luncheon at the Crabrock Pizzeria. Journal worksheet is sent out to participants a week prior to do, then bring to discuss women's empowerment in non-traditional societal roles and how a New Perspective can transform your own lives. Experience tour of Shifting Tides Seaweed Farm and cooking demonstration with marine biologist, Alanna Keiffer. Seaweed samples and products available to purchase. All fish caught are filleted for you and bagged. Crab caught is cooked for you and bagged. You will learn how to clean a crab after cooking. All deckhand, fish fileters, crab cookers, and waitstaff tips are included in the cost of event. Day Fish and Shellfish License must be either purchased the day of event in the harbor, or if you have one already, just bring with you on boat.
