Activity Organizer: Mr. Diaz Email: juan.diaz@basisindependent.com Dates: Fridays Times: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Grades: 8–12 Cost: $150 Description: Political Discourse Club is an open forum club for students to discuss current events, politics, media, etc. in a safe environment with their peers. Our target member is a BISV student who is open-minded, curious, and thoughtful, and who would like to have a platform in which to have open discourse about pressing social and political issues. Political Discourse Club will NOT be a politically affiliated club, and in fact will be the opposite of such a club. In the Political Discourse Club, students will listen to the opinions of their peers and grow as individuals and thinkers as a result.
