Activity Organizer: Ms. Tamhane Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Dates: 2nd Wednesday Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Grades: 6–12 Cost: $100 Description: Cybersecurity is an incredibly important field to gain experience in. The growing rise of technology and its ubiquity in everyday life necessitates that people understand the importance of protecting their systems and how to do so. The Cybersecurity Club has two main goals, one, to teach BISV students about different aspects of network security, hacking, and cyber ethics, and two, to advocate against cyberbullying and malicious online activity. This club would be a unique addition to the BISV catalogue and address an issue that many teenagers are unaware of. The cybersecurity club would also support causes dedicated to improving cyber literacy and ameliorating the problem of cyberbullying. The importance of cybersecurity in an online world is clear, and offering a cybersecurity club gives BISV students a head start in understanding how to protect computer systems, and ultimately, their information.
