About this event

Description

(Prerequisite any two Cuesta Blacksmithing classes)This class continues a student's blacksmithing experience, reinforcing previously learned safety precautions and techniques, and developing the student's skill. Using the chisel and round punch you made in the Blacksmithing Tools class, you'll make one of the most versatile of a blacksmith's tongs, the "wolf jaw" tongs. You'll learn enough that you can use the same techniques to make several other tong types.Students must wear fire-safe clothing (cotton, wool, or leather; no synthetics), closed-toe shoes (no synthetic uppers), and should dress for an open classroom. Long pants and short sleeves recommended.Water will be provided.Location map
