About this event
Activity Organizer: Sridhar Ramaswamy Email: sridhar@hey.com Dates: Wednesdays Times: 4:00–5:00 PM Location: TBD Grades: 7–10 Cost: $75 Description: Data Science is one of the fastest-growing careers in the tech industry, with a 650% increase since 2012. Companies are all looking to improve their business by using data-driven decisions. Programming for Data Science and ML Club will teach essential skills such as preprocessing, analyzing, and exploring data to see hidden connections and trends that would otherwise be unnoticeable in a fun and exciting way! The Programming for Data Science & ML Club will start with a quick overview of Python and Jupyter Notebooks and how to use libraries like Pandas and NumPy for data processing, followed by basic data visualization using Matplotlib and Machine Learning. The Machine Learning section will teach the inner workings of Machine Learning categories with practical applications using Scikit-Learn. Students will do a final project where they will pick a dataset and do their processing, analysis, and prediction to make conclusions, and the club will publish them on its website.
