PHYSICS CIRCLE Entrance test is required. Please email the club advisor for testing information and next steps. Algebra is required, calculus is preferred. Activity Organizer: Jifeng Li, Owen Li Email: jifeng_li@yahoo.com, lingling_kc@hotmail.com Dates: Mondays Time: 4:00 PM–5:30 PM Grades: 9–12 Cost: Description: This club will help students learn key physics concepts and gain problem solving skills pertaining to physics competitions. The first half is dedicated to preparing for the F=ma exam in February while the second half is dedicated to the Physics Bowl in April. Throughout the year, we’ll cover the following topics in General Physics: Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, Thermodynamics, Waves, Special Relativity, and Modern Physics. A solid foundation of Calculus is strongly recommended. Sessions are led by experienced student leaders with Olympiad experience or medals. Each session will start with a lecture, followed by time for solving challenging problem sets and support for homework assignment. Anyone with an interest in physics or physics competitions is welcome to join.
