COMPETITIVE RESEARCH CLUB Activity Organizer: Anoop Reddy Email: anoop.reddy@gmail.com Dates: Mondays Time: 4:00 PM–5:00 PM Grades: 7–12 Description: Competitive Research club is a club dedicated to provide students with the best opportunities in academia. The club will go into how to use the scientific method in different areas of study as well as different ways to put student skills to use. Students will complete an independent research project over the course of the year that will be entered into competitions. Competitions will include MIT THINK, BioGENEius, Genes in Space, Synopsys, GENIUS Olympiad and many more. Students will also get exposure to the standard at which researchers in the real world conduct experiments. There will also be opportunities for research publication in various high school and undergraduate journals. Students will need their own laptops. The club can teach students to set up any software needed.
