About this event
SYNOPSIS: The two siblings return to visit the magic tree house on a dreary, rainy day. They find a book where the sun is shining and the waves are crashing, so they wish to travel to this tropical place. They realize that they are in the eighteenth-century Caribbean, the time of pirates! The siblings meet Captain Bones, a mean old pirate who captures the two and forces them to help him find buried treasure. It's up to Jack and Annie to find their way back to the tree house and make their way home. AUDITIONS Material: Full Audition Packets will be posted on your Google Classroom. Students will sing a selection from the show and should be ready to perform sides at the audition. Bring your headshot and resume, and make sure your audition form has been submitted on your Google Classroom. Dates: Auditions will be on the first day of rehearsal, January 30th from 4:15 - 7:15 PM. REHEARSALS Rehearsals will be every Monday at 4:15 - 7:15 PM from Jan 30th-April 17th. All conflicts must be submitted on your audition form. MANDATORY Tech Week: Monday-Thursday, April 24-27th, 4:15-6:30PM. All students are required to attend each day. SET BUILD Saturday, April 15th 9 AM-noon (need to be cleaned before the matinee of the Advanced Play). All students and one parent per actor are required to attend. PERFORMANCES FRIDAY: April 28th @ 7pm SATURDAY: April 29th @ 7pm SUNDAY: April 30th @ 3pm FRIDAY: May 5th @ 7pm SATURDAY: May 6th @ 7pm SUNDAY: May 7th @ 3pm (Love Notes @ 12:30p) | Strike after the Sunday show ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Costumes are provided by Genesis. Supplemental items & shoes from your wardrobe. Students are required to be present at all rehearsals and shows. Please do not schedule any appointments or events for your student during this rehearsal period. Please send a snack, a personal water bottle, and pencil each day to rehearsal. Please help your student at home to memorize their lines.
