About this event
This fun and interactive club allows students to put their ideas onto screen. They will watch clips from movies, TV, and music videos to learn about the world behind the lens. After discussing techniques and basic concepts, students will collaboratively work together to create a short film/music video by imagining a concept, "script" writing, storyboarding/shot list, and filming. All the footage will be collected and edited together into film(s) for them to watch and bring home! Since graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in Videography, Courtney has freelanced. Her work ranges from real-estate, promotional, and narrative pieces. Courtney has decorated sets for a few short films such as "Tonight, we eat Flowers", which was viewed at the Blackstar Film Festival. Courntey is a former ASEP teacher and thrilled to be working with TPS in a new capacity. (Please note: There is no session on March 28. Professional film equipment will be provided for use under adult supervision. Students will need their own notebook and USB drive for planning and saving work.)
