Whether brand new to robots and programming or perhaps just looking to "up level" your prototyping and coding abilities, the Robotics Academy is a weeklong training in computational thinking, modular design, sensor conditioning, and bot building. Campers will look to construct a wide variety of robotic models, including a CNC machine, a dancing bot, a motorcycle bot, as well as a "sumobot" and a mechanized machine capable of completing challenges on a mission map. The primary focus being good clean robotic fun and a secondary focus is exploration of the wacky world of robotics! Matt Murray is the TPS Director of Educational Technology and has been with the school since 2015. He enjoys creating space for students to explore areas of technology they normally would not. Matt leads STEAM initiatives and also co-facilitates the TPS white allyship student affinity group.
