About this event
Ceramics Club spanning winter and spring will focus on creating functional clay pieces and sculptures using basic techniques of slab building, coiling, and pinching. Projects will be created around seasonal or holiday themes. Along with using fireable clay for making functional pieces, students may also have an opportunity to work with non-firing Sculpey clay to make colorful, decorative miniature items. As always, there will be days set aside for “free clay play”, so students can work on whatever they choose. Lynne Dorman is a clay artist and psychologist, who has been teaching ceramics to children for over fifteen years. (Please note: There are no sessions on March 16 & 30.)
