Prerequisites: (1) Copy of the AHA Instructor Essentials certificate of completion. (2) Current BLS Provider card. (3) Resume. The tuition includes the Instructor Essentials Online, Instructor-led course, Instructor Manual, 2025 Update Certification, and 2-Year BLS Instructor Certification. After completing this training, instructor candidates must teach a monitored class to qualify to teach AHA BLS and Heartsaver courses. Certification is valid for two years from the first monitored class. To maintain certification, instructors must teach at least two classes per year.
