Description

Students will paint along with the instructor and observe his process. We will paint a still life and other exercises. Essential techniques, materials, and approaches to oil painting are thoroughly covered. A good deal of time will be spent discussing paint handling, palette organization and learning about color mixing, value and color temperature.

Class will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Wilson Senior Center
In this course we will cover the following subjects:

• Materials- paints, mediums, brushes, brush care
• Composition
• Working wet into wet, and wet over dry
• Oiling out
• Working in layers

First class will be only an 1hour to go over the course and materials needed for the class.
