Our most popular adult class! The art of Blacksmithing dates back 3500 years and was originally used to create tools and weapons from iron and then eventually steel. Class is one Wednesday per week, 6-10pm, for 7 weeks. In this class we begin by shaping a knife from 1095 high carbon tool steel in traditional method, primarily using heat, hammers, and anvils. Once your blade is refined and quenched for maximum hardness and flexibility we move onto woodworking the handle from a plethora of decorative hardwoods.
