On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.
Barbershop quartets are a uniquely American singing style originating in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Their style is often described as an “old American institution.” Chordial Barbershop Quartet was formed in 2018. Singers include Andy Kain (lead), Chandler Pridgen (baritone), Rob Brocklehurst (bass), and Jeff Mauro (tenor). Chordial originally met through their mutual involvement in The Virginians Barbershop Chorus. You are “chordially” invited to attend a musical presentation by an “old American institution” celebrating the contributions of the past and looking ahead toward the future in the historic present of this 250th anniversary year. A reception will follow the performance.
