If you have experienced a change in your life or a personal loss (loss of a loved one, a job, a relationship, or experiencing a life transition), join us to receive emotional support in a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space. This group provides space to share your experiences with others who have also experienced a change or a loss, while learning stress-management tools and coping skills to support you.
Week 1: Introduction ? Sharing losses/Life Changes ? Discussing Group Expectations ? Begin discussing reactions to loss and life changes o Week 2: Reactions to Grief ? Continue discussing reactions to loss and life changes ? Review grief process and mourning ? Begin discussing Myths & Facts about grief o Week 3: Taking Care of Yourself ? Continue discussing Myths & Facts about Grief ? Discuss what taking care of yourself can look like ? Review different relaxation exercises and self-care ideas o Week 4: Remembering & Honoring Your Loss/Life Change ? Begin sharing pictures and/or stories of your loss/life change ? Continue review of different relaxation exercises and self-care ideas o Week 5: My Circle of Support ? Continue sharing pictures and/or stories of your loss/life change ? Discuss Circle of Support & Ways to Increase it o Week 6: Navigating New Roles, Identities, & Changes ? Discuss the new roles, identities, and changes in your life you’ve experienced since your loss/life change ? Continue review of different relaxation exercises and self-care ideas o Week 7: Exploring New Meaning & Purpose ? Discuss relationships and activities that bring you meaning and purpose ? Begin creating your Self-Care/Wellness Plan o Week 8: Importance of Memories & Rituals ? Complete your Self-Care/Wellness Plan ? Discuss the importance of memories/rituals ? Share the meaning of this group experience & Goodbyes
