Science Olympiad provides students the opportunity to improve their understanding in various scientific disciplines (earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, engineering, etc.) and to work collaboratively in teams to learn new skills. Under the school team, smaller event teams of 2 or 3 members compete in events in their chosen disciplines and participate in a few tournaments from mid-November to end of March. Each event team is mentored by a parent/adult mentor. The school team is coordinated by parent coaches. our past SO div B has outstanding performance at regional and VA state level competition in past few years.
