In Quiz Bowl, two teams of four students each compete in fast-paced, buzzer-based matches covering a wide range of subjects including literature, geography, history, mythology, and sciences like physics, chemistry, biology, math, and computer science. The BASIS Independent McLean High School Quiz Bowl Club participates in local, state, and regional tournaments with the goal of reaching national competitions organized by NAQT and PACE. New players can build skills through novice tournaments and also compete annually in “It’s Academic,” the world’s longest-running TV quiz show.
