Description
Join us at the new Community Center (Old Library) for a ceramic craft with Lisa Swanson.
This series of monthly Ceramic Art classes is an introduction to ceramic bisqueware painting and clay building techniques. We will paint with underglazes and glaze a variety of bisque fired mugs, tiles, dishes and more. We will explore the pinch, coil, and slab hand building techniques using a variety of earthenware clay. You will also learn about Southwest Native American Pottery and create your own SW painted and carved pottery. All your ceramic creations will be glaze fired in a pottery kiln and returned to you finished. The class will be an opportunity to socialize with new friends and focused on creative personal expression. Come join in on the fun!
