Our school has joined the Charter School Athletic Association (CSAA) and will begin playing for both teams starting next week. This is a separate league from the CONSAT soccer club that has been posted on Parent Square since the beginning of the school year. This is an exciting moment for our school and our high schoolers as we continue to build up our sports program and compete at high levels with other schools across New York City! Currently, our teams are only for high school students (9-12). Our boy's team will compete in an 11v11 game while our girl's team will compete in an 8v8 game. Both of these leagues would be outdoors on fields around the city. Our schedule is packed with games, so we will only be practicing as a team tomorrow, Sep. 21st, and Tuesday, Sep. 26. Our practices will be in Central Park and we will leave as a team from school at 4:00 PM. Our goal is to arrive at the park by 4:30 and practice for about an hour or so, ending around 5:30-5:45. If you have any questions about this, please let me know. If your child is interested in joining, they can sign up for the high school league alone (running from September through November) or they can join the full CONSAT league (running from September through May). If your high school student joins the CONSAT league, they will automatically be eligible for the CSAA league. Students who only join the CSAA league, will not automatically join the CONSAT league and will have to pay the full fee for the soccer club. Game Schedules will be communicated with families upon registration!
