Description
Parkinson's Plus is for individuals diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease wanting to foster brain and body changes through exercise using research-based high amplitude, powerful full-body movements. Emphases of the class include: engaging muscles like the torso, hips, and shoulders to combat rigidity, optimizing brain health by targeting neurologic pathways involved in motor skills, and enhancing balance and mobility. Another core principle of the class is having FUN and connecting with others in the community through exercise and shared diagnoses. Participants should be able to transfer to and from the floor independently with the use of a chair, be independent, and medically stable.
