From forming to firing, students in this course will gain the experience to become comfortable navigating the ceramic studio. We will craft simple forms and cover the basics of glazing/finishing work. The first and last session will focus on wheel throwing; the second will focus on hand building. Beginner. Supplies: see box on page 22.
Bring your own clay tools or purchase a tool kit at the LCAC for $18 + tax. Clay must be purchased at the LCAC and is $20 + tax per 25-pund bag. A variety of clays are available.
While enrolled in a pottery course at the LCAC, participants may use the pottery studios during hours of operation outside of scheduled class times.
