The Christmas in July 5K At Caddys Indian Shores
The Caddy's Pub Inidian Shores On Gullf Blvd. 20025 Gulf Blvd. Indian Shores, FL 33785 Organized by XRMAbout this event
Happy Summer and Merry Christmas in July! Join us, Saturday, July 29, 2023, for the "Christmas in July" 5K on the most beautiful waterfront and beach front restaurant settings in Tampa Bay.
On Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 9 a.m. we will kick off half way to Christmas with our back to school back pack drive (bring any new backpack and/or supplies) as we celebrate our Pinellas County kids in need and feel the love of Christmas giving in July. An arrangement of great holiday medals will be available for each runner or walker to choose from at the finish line.
An email will go out to all registrants the afternoon before the race with arrival and parking instructions. Parking is free in the Caddy’s Indian Shores parking lot and this is also a great venue to use Uber or Lyft as we always sell out before race day.
We will run or walk this gorgeous 5K on the hard packed sand for an out and back run to the start/ finish line arch. Then you will finish with the best selection of finishers medals in the world! This run/walk will be electronically timed and includes a race day promotional tech run shirt and free beer at our Michelob Ultra post race party with great trivia and prizes.

Why should I bring any new backpack 🎒 to the race (optional)
We partner with a local nonprofit called the Backpack Lady Project. They work hard every year to collect around 1,000 backpacks and collate them with basic scholl supplies that each of us take to the Pinellas county (mainly elementary) schools the 1st week of August. Rob Ditro is the owner of the non profit. It began when his mother passed away and he had learned she had been giving 2 backpacks every year to the local elementary school it grew from there and trust me there are backpack angels all over the county because of her legacy.
Our relationship is with the guidance counselors so in the 1st week of school ifany child is going "without" they kindly call them up to the office and give them the backpack as not to embarrass them in front of the other students. Our runners have been key in helping this great local mission continue!Event details and schedule
