Join us, Saturday, Augusts 19, 2023, for the I SURVIVED SHARK WEEK 5K on the most beautiful waterfront and beach front restaurant settings in Tampa Bay.
Registration will open at 8:15 a.m. on the front tiki deck at Caddy's. We will begin the run just prior to 9 a.m. restrooms are available inside Caddy's before and after the race. The run/walk takes place on the hard packed sand of the beach but remain as the restaurant as Suzanne will walk you to the start/finish line as a group. We also ask that you use this same route after the 5K when you are heading back to Caddy's for our Free Michelob Ultra post race finisher's trivia prize party open to all runners and your friends.
An email will go out to all registrants the afternoon before the race with arrival and parking instructions. Parking is free in the Caddy’s parking lot and this is also a great venue to use Uber or Lyft as we usually sell out before race day.
We will run or walk in an out and back 5K on the hard packed sand to the start/ finish line arch. When you will finish pick up your awesome finishers medal themed for each event. We usually bring several medals for you to select from in case you already have the medal we are featuring that month (each month offers a different medal and we know many of you strive to earn them all)! This run/walk will be electronically timed and includes a race day promotional tech run shirt, your bib number, one finisher's medal, and free beer at our Michelob Ultra post race party with great trivia and prizes.
We do not offer age group awards in a very deliberate attempt to minimize a more competitive running crowd, however, we do issue top finisher awards to all those who finish the run in under 30 minutes and some of our faster youth and seniors. Therefore, if you did particularly well and would like one of these framed awards we will have one for YOU! Everyone of course takes home their beautiful finisher's medal. We are all about this fundraiser for Finish Lines For Scholarships 501c3, the fun, the trivia, Caddy's, FREE beer and great fun!
