Girls on the Run is one of only three programs recognized by the Harvard Graduate School of Education as a top social-emotional learning (SEL) experience for kids. This spring, trained coaches will guide a small team of 3rd–5th grade girls through our new Hello Superstar curriculum, which blends fun movement games, active workouts, and important life lessons designed to build confidence, social connections, and leadership skills.
In addition to building their physical fitness, participants will grow in areas like self-awareness, motivation, empathy, and teamwork. Each practice incorporates social-emotional learning alongside physical activity, helping girls develop emotional intelligence—an essential building block for future leadership. The season culminates with a big goal: completing a 5K run/walk event.
