About this event
Registration is now open for the Winter 2022-23 session of the Valor Wrestling Academy (grades K-8). Practices will run from November 14 through the first week in February. The club will participate in both South Suburban and Peak 2 Peak tournaments (based on the age, skill level, and interest of each child). During practice, wrestlers will be split up by weight and skill level and will have the ability to progress at their own pace in a stimulating, fun, and supportive environment. Practices are designed as an introduction to the sport of wrestling, and a means to “prepare tomorrow’s leaders to transform the world for Christ” by way of engaging and fun object lessons. Through a system of age-appropriate but challenging activities, wrestlers will be introduced to age-appropriate training methods with innovative training equipment used by world-class wrestlers around the world. They will learn to master movements that give them better body control, balance, and coordination in a fun and challenging environment, helping them develop a new set of skills that will make them better all-around athletes. The healthy demands of wrestling will help condition them for other sports as well as future challenges in life.
