About this event
Six HYBRID Sessions The “For Now” means this course will examine the role of religion in today’s social, national, and personal contexts. Though we will look at some of the major historical controversies that shaped Judaism and Christianity, we will focus more on some of today’s debates within the Christian worldview. We will also examine the Russian Orthodox Church in light of the invasion of Ukraine, and we will briefly discuss the current influence of Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism in world affairs. Whether you are religious or not, we can all benefit from a better understanding of how religion affects us all even now. Bill Coates, a longtime teacher for BULLI, has been a BULLI staff member since 2019. He holds a Ph.D. in American literature from the University of South Carolina.
