Class Dates: Mondays from January 27 - April 14Skip Date: Monday, February 2 & Monday, March 24Rehearsal AND Show: Tuesday, April 15In an all-encompassing theatrical experience, students learn acting, singing and dancing as well as production disciplines such as costumes, props, make-up and staging and use these skills to put on a final show in the Amaturo Theater. The children are rising up in this gleefully witty ode to the anarchy of childhood and the power of imagination! “Matilda JR.” tells the story of a girl who dreams of a better life and the children she inspires and will have audiences rooting for the "revolting children" who are out to teach the grown-ups a lesson. Join the revolt in this Broadway Junior adaptation of the Tony Award-winning hit! This class is offered in partnership with the Performance Project, Inc.
Students are expected to attend the first day of class as auditions will be held to cast roles for the final performances. Children must be ready to participate in the class independently.
