About this event
The RAD Student Teacher Prep Course is a two-year program that strives to teach adult student (18+) the techniques and movements needed to pass the Royal Academy of Dance Intermediate Ballet Exam. This exam can be used as a qualifier for students who are interested in applying for the RAD Certification in Dance Teaching (Ballet) Programme. This registration is for the second year of the Program, and will last from August 28th, 2023 through until May 17th, 2024. This class meets Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 12:00pm-1:00pm for a total of 3 hours a week. The class rate is $15/h at 3 hours per week for 33 weeks of class (Aug. 26, 2024 - May 14, 2025). Feminine Attire: Choice of leotard in Black, Navy, Royal Blue or Purple (Exam standards); tights; ballet shoes; pointe shoes. Masculine Attire: Sleeveless or short sleeve white leotard; footed or stirrup tights in Navy; white ankle socks; white ballet shoes. All hair should be up in a bun with flyaways tucked, or slicked back with flyaways tucked. Students are required to bring a water bottle to class.
