As a volunteer at a basketball clinic, you’re not just helping out—you’re becoming an essential part of an exciting, fast-paced experience that inspires the next generation of athletes! From welcoming participants with a big smile to assisting coaches with dynamic drills and high-energy games, your role is all about bringing the clinic to life. You’ll get to engage with young players, cheer them on, and witness firsthand their growth and excitement as they master new skills. It’s a chance to be at the heart of the action, build connections, and make a real impact in a fun and rewarding environment. Get ready to bring your enthusiasm and be a game-changer!*The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our programs. We hold all volunteers regardless of service project, to the highest possible standards. We require volunteers that are working with youth to be screened regularly and sign a code of conduct. All volunteers will be monitored when interacting with program participants. We rake any inappropriate interactions between program participants and with volunteers very seriously and will fully cooperate with authorities in any case of abuse.
