Piano for Adults: Intro

If you have always wanted to play the piano, or just want to try something new, this class is for you!
Piano for Adults Intro is designed for adults with little or no previous keyboard experience, and is an introduction to the piano and basic music reading/theory in a supportive and encouraging group environment. Students will learn proper hand position and posture necessary for efficient and comfortable piano playing. Basic music theory will be introduced to develop essential reading skills. Students will explore melodies and harmonies, develop a sense of rhythm, learn about different time signatures, and understand how to count and play various note values.
The class is held in our digital keyboard lab with a portion of each class to include individual instruction time. Students are welcome to repeat this Intro class as needed. Lesson book and class materials provided.
